Metal company in Vaughan area is currently looking for Welder/Fitter Shift: 7:00 am-6:00 pm Responsibilities: - Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and assembly of metal components - Work with mild steel, aluminum and stainless steel from 20ga up to ½ - Measure and mark dimensions and reference points on metal pieces - Weld or fit metal components together using various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) - Operate welding equipment and tools such as grinders, saws, and drills - Inspect welded joints and conduct quality control checks to ensure they meet the required standards - Clean and maintain welding equipment and work area Requirements: - Proven experience as a welder/fitter or similar role - Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings - Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment operation - Familiarity with different types of metals and their properties - Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments accurately - Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects - Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
