Compounder – Cosmetics Manufacturing
About the Role
We are hiring a Compounder to join a cosmetics manufacturing team in Vaughan, Ontario. You will mix and prepare raw materials, operate production equipment, and support the manufacturing process while following company procedures and safety standards. Well suited for someone mechanically inclined, physically fit, reliable, hardworking, and comfortable in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately weigh, measure, and prepare raw materials per formulas and batch instructions
- Mix and compound cosmetic ingredients using manufacturing equipment
- Operate and monitor production and mixing equipment
- Perform basic mechanical tasks and equipment adjustments
- Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and workplace policies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area
- Follow proper handling and storage of raw materials
- Monitor batches and report issues to the supervisor
- Complete production records and batch documentation accurately
- Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas
- Work as part of a team to meet daily production targets
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in manufacturing, cosmetics, food production, or chemical processing is an asset
- Mechanical skills and basic troubleshooting ability
- Comfortable operating production machinery
- Physically fit; able to lift and move materials
- Comfortable working around cosmetic raw materials and chemical smells
- Able to follow written instructions, formulas, and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail; reliable and punctual
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to follow GMP and workplace safety standards
